As our world adapts to these difficult times, we understand the importance of having a safe and caring community for your family.

For over 23 years, River Valley Dance Academy has placed child development and quality technique at the core of our curriculum and training. These guiding values have enabled us to develop three different paths for how young people can engage with our programming in the 2020-2021 dance season.

REDUCED CLASS SIZES

River Valley Dance Academy has made alterations to its class sizes, allowing for ample social distancing and assigned dancing locations during class time. Attending class via ZOOM will always be an option for students this season should they ever feel symptomatic, to protect a compromised immune system, or to ensure their own safety.

Our comprehensive plan focuses on four key tenets: sanitization, masking, social distancing, and contact tracing.

Whether its the improved cleaning regiment implemented by our staff with new chemical solutions by ECOLAB or software approaches being implemented this fall to allow for accurate and comprehensive contact tracing, you can trust us to adapt quickly as scientists discover how we should proceed during this critical time.

PRIVATE SMALL GROUP CLASSES

We acknowledge that some families have spent their time in quarantine curating specific social circles to limit their contact with the general public while still allowing for regular interactions with members of their community.

If you have a small group of individuals who are interested in private group classes with people from inside your social circle, River Valley Dance Academy has set aside some weekday and weekend hours for this type of experience.

PRIVATE INSTRUCTION

Some members of our community may not be ready to return to class-sized instruction. While understanding and respecting this need, we want to help you maintain the hard work you have put in to your dance journey so far.

River Valley Dance Academy has set aside some weekday and weekend hours for private instruction in a variety of dance styles with multiple members of our brilliant team of instructors. 

​

For more information about private instruction, please contact Jocelyn Braudt for a private instruction consultation. During this time, we will review the goals you are working towards at this time and we will make a determination on the instructor best fit for the skills you are seeking.

This August, join us for a fun week-long ballet intensive culminating in the casting of our upcoming production of The Nutcracker!

August 2nd-6th

Open to new and returning students in

1st - 12th Grade.

Dancers entering third -twelfth grade, who are interested in dancing 4 hours a week next season, participating in three dance competitions, a dance convention, and having the opportunity to choose if they would like to participate in a trip, should plan to attend this 4 day dance camp. At Camp, you will work to develop dance skills, and receive exercises to enhance your strength, flexibility, stamina, and storytelling. The audition will take place as part of the camp, with team building activities rounding out the final afternoon.
