IMPROVING OUR WORLD

Through Dance

While dancers in our primary dance program attend class once a week and perform in our annual recitals, dancers first grade and beyond grow into the opportunity to perform at local nursing homes and community events.

Since it's inception, RVDA has made instilling a value of community service in young people a guiding principle. Beyond performing in the community, RVDA annually collects for food shelves, packs food with FMSC, bring toys to Gillette Children's Hospital, raises money for Fraser, and holds an annual benefit concert for Feed My Starving Children every spring.

As a dancer progresses in age, skill and level, additional opportunities for performance become available. In the past some of the opportunities have included dancing at the Mall of America, at the Minneapolis Convention Center, at Centennial Lakes Ampitheatre, Orchestra Hall, local worship settings, High School Dance shows, Vikings Football games and Timberwolves Basketball games. As a member of our Performance Company trips to both U.S. Disney Parks, NYC, Branson, Los Angeles, and performances on a cruise line have also been opportunities offered to our dancers.

OPTIMIZED FOR GROWTH

River Valley Dance Academy limits class sizes to optimize the learning environment. By maintaining low class numbers, we are able to offer individualized attention to each of our students with an instructor who is engaged in the success of your young person.

dress for success

At River Valley Dance Academy, we hold our students to a specific set of guidelines when it comes to class attire. It is imperative that a student has their full range of movement while in class. In order to hold a class where all students in attendance can stay focused on their dance education, we do not allow mid drifts to be exposed.

We want all of our students to love themselves in their own skin instead of feeling like they need to compare themselves to other students in their class.

All ballet classes utilize a uniform leotard based on their age group that is available for purchase at the studio.

TUITION & REGISTRATION

There is an annual registration fee of $40.00 for each family with dancers registering for classes that run September - May. Clinics, camps and mini sessions do not require a registration fee.

Ten equal payments of $50 is the cost to dance for the year for one 45 minute class per week.

For 10 equal payments you will receive a total of 32 classes. Payment #1 is due upon registration. You may choose to pay the entire year in advance. To receive the annual discount, the annual rate is due in full upon registration. Please note: our registration savings table is only applicable to regular school year programming.

For students who are only able to commit to a shorter dance season due to participation in teams/productions, please contact Amanda about our Punch Card Program.

When comparing pricing with surrounding studios, we hope you recognize the amazing value that is RVDA. Not only do we provide the steepest discount on annual tuition rates, but we provide you the most experienced and nurturing faculty in the Twin Cities at a comparable price point.
